Answer: Really not worth it, and here's why: 1. Iodine (yodomarin, potassium iodide) in general need to prevent only a small group of patients: children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women. All others receive a normal amount of iodine, if consumed at home only iodized salt. Even these iodine used in the treatment of enlarged thyroid gland caused by iodine deficiency (diffuse euthyroid goiter). 2. Iodine-asset touted as "the funds as much iodine as it is lacking in the body, but it is not true. In reality it is a preparation containing different parties in different amounts of iodine. Therefore, even in cases where iodine is desirable, it is a poor alternative to conventional potassium iodide tablets (yodomarin, iodide).
